What is the Car Directory?
An Australian directory of car businesses: mechanics, panel beaters, tyre and brake shops, auto electricians, wreckers and cash-for-cars buyers, towing services, detailers, dealers, parts stores, inspection services, car hire, driving schools and EV specialists. There are 35 live listings, searchable by category, suburb, postcode and state.
Is it free to list my business?
Yes. A free listing includes your own page with a map, call and website buttons, private enquiry forwarding and placement in your category, state and suburb pages. Featured placement is an optional paid upgrade.
How long does approval take?
A real person checks every new listing before it goes live, usually within two business days. You get an email when it is approved. Listings that are not a real Australian car business, or that duplicate an existing listing, are declined.
Does the directory show my email address?
No. Business email addresses are stored privately and never shown on the site. When a customer sends an enquiry it is forwarded to you, and you reply to them directly.
What does Featured include?
Featured puts your listing at the top of its category and state pages, adds a Featured badge to every card and rotates it onto the home page. Send us your logo and photos and we add them to the listing. It is billed monthly by card and can be cancelled any time from the manage link in your receipt.
How do I fix a wrong phone number or address?
Open the listing and use Claim this listing, or send a correction through the contact page. We check with the business before changing contact details.
Are the businesses verified?
Every listing is reviewed by a person before publication, and listings are only accepted for businesses with a working website or verifiable contact details. A Verified owner badge appears only after the owner has claimed the listing and we have confirmed it with them.
Can I list a business that works from a van or mobile service?
Yes. Leave the street address blank and give the suburb you are based in. Mobile mechanics, mobile detailers and towing operators are a big part of the directory.
Do you sell cars or run classifieds?
No. The Car Directory lists businesses, not vehicles. For a dealer near you, browse the Car Dealers category.
